Paths / Therapists / Silvia Fenech Bagarotti
Ψ Psychotherapist & Educational Psychologist
Dott. in Psicologia (Padua); Expressive Arts Psychotherapist (IPSE)
MPPB Warrant No. 112
With a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Padua, Italy, and over two decades of experience, Silvia is a passionate and dedicated psychotherapist who brings both expertise and creativity to her work. After completing her graduate studies in 2000, Silvia specialised in Expressive Arts Psychotherapy at the University of Bologna, further deepening her ability to use the creative process as a therapeutic tool.
Since 2003, Silvia has been helping individuals of all ages, from children to adults, navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, phobias, and major life challenges. Her practice is built on a foundation of empathy and respect, tailoring therapeutic interventions to the unique needs of each client.
In addition to her private practice, Silvia has worked in diverse settings that have enriched her approach. For three years, she collaborated with psychiatric wards at the Hospital in Vicenza, where she led relaxation and stress-reduction groups for patients. She also spent five years bringing the healing power of art therapy to primary schools, where she guided children through creative exercises aimed at prevention and emotional expression.
A key turning point in Silvia’s work came when she discovered Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She was drawn to EFT for its profound respect for the whole person, its ability to promote personal growth, and its effectiveness in relieving emotional and physical distress. Silvia witnessed EFT empowering clients to take an active role in their own healing process, allowing them to work through difficult emotions, enhance their self-awareness, and create lasting change. It’s a tool that enables individuals to not only overcome immediate challenges but to thrive in their overall well-being.
In her ongoing commitment to providing clients with the most effective therapeutic tools, in the last two years, Silvia has expanded her expertise to include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is particularly helpful in helping clients overcome trauma, allowing them to process distressing memories and re-establish emotional balance. Silvia integrates EMDR into her practice to help clients not only heal from past wounds but also regain stability and resilience in their lives.
Psychotherapy is not just about addressing symptoms. For Silvia, it’s about facilitating lasting transformation and helping people uncover the strength and potential that resides within them.
